Marco Zumpt
Marco Zumpt, the founder and manager of Attorneys Zumpt & Colleagues in 2014, has been practising as an attorney since 2001. Before going into private practise, he was part of Pricewaterhouse Coopers Corporate Finance team, where he initiated a client focussed service called the German Desk. Thereafter he headed up the litigation department and was engaged in general office management at Kritzinger & Co for a period of over 10 years.
Main field of activity
He specializes in contract and business law, litigation, as well as facilitation of EU based inbound investment interests into South Africa. He acts for local and foreign clients and on behalf of foreign attorneys in a variety of business sectors, including medial insurance, software copyright and renewable energies.
Marco Zumpt speaks German, English and Afrikaans. He obtained a Diploma in Tax Practise in 2004 and was also admitted as a conveyancer in 2010.
He is a member of the German-South African Lawyers Association and the author of the work “The Non- Resident Survival Guide”, a publication setting out the impact of the South African legal framework and its impact on non-citizens in South Africa. Marco Zumpt also acts as Trustee on behalf of certain non-profit organisations.
